Footprints in the Sand
Hello dear readers,
For today’s post I wanted to share with you a beautiful poem I serially find irresistible. It’s called “Footprints in the sand” by Mary Stevenson.
Footprints in the Sand
One night I dreamed I was walking
along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life
flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed
footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were
two sets of footprints,
other times there was one only.
This bothered me
because I noticed that
during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only
one set of footprints,
so I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you, you would
walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most
trying periods of my life
there has only been one set of
prints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
have you not been there for me?”
The Lord replied,
“The years when you have seen
only one set of footprints,
is when I carried you.”

This poem has to be one of the most powerful poems there is because every time I read it a disobedient tear runs down my face… it’s so simple but with so much emotions swimming in it… beautifully written.
Ok, so I finished my last exam yesterday and I can officially say that I’m on vacations! I haven’t done much lately but I’m hopping to have some adventures and fun in the near future.
Oh! And by the way, today is the first day of summer! Yay!
That’s all for today, see you all next blogging!
